Our Club offers opportunities for everyone and welcomes all levels of participation
Your contribution could range from occasionally helping out at our local community markets, our annual Art Show or our local Op Shop to planning major projects or traveling abroad and being involved in humanitarian aid programs. OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Our Rotary club has been active in the Warrandyte and Donvale communities for over thirty years. That adds up to lots of support, funding, partnership and friendship contributed.
A highlight for many of our members is the early starts every first Saturday of the month as we head down to the idyllic Yarra setting to start our day working in tandem with our Warrandyte Riverside Market partners getting the market up and running. Not quite as early a start but just as much fun and collaboration is also to be had at the Tunstall Market at Donvale on the last Sunday of the month. We’re thrilled to have great partners in the local Scouts troops and Donvale Montessori Early Education Centre who have joined us in this wonderful community venture.
Our Warrandyte Op Shop is well known far and wide and well patronized by our local community. Whilst every aspect of our fundraising effort is important, our Op Shop is our engine room and we couldn’t provide the many local grants and sponsorships each year or contributions to the various Rotary global humanitarian initiatives without the hard work and commitment of our many Op Shop volunteers and supporters.
For the first time in its 25 year history, the 2025 Warrandyte Art Show saw us partner with the very impressive Warrandyte Artisans group. This year’s show definitely benefited from their expertise and knowledge of art through the planning and delivery as well as their collaboration and camaraderie. We very much look forward to this partnership flourishing and continuing to enrich our Art Show in the years to come.
