We want to understand the make up of our community and what is important to the people who live, work, study or play here. We want to do this so that our Rotary club can better reflect and strengthen our positive involvement in our community for the years to come.

A Wonderful Night Community Celebration of our Warrandyte Donvale Rotary 2026–27 Club Changeover
Last Friday night, Warrandyte Donvale Rotary hosted a truly memorable Changeover celebration — a lively, warm and community‑filled evening attended by 50 people, including many of our hardworking local organisations who play such a vital role in the life of Warrandyte and surrounds.
The room was buzzing as we reflected on the achievements of the past year, celebrated our volunteers, and looked ahead to an exciting year of growth and revitalisation for our club.
A highlight of the evening was honouring two outstanding Paul Harris Fellow Recognition recipients:
- Wayne Rankin, local Warrandyte artisan, recognised for his generosity in donating his time, expertise and one of his beautiful glass sculptures for our Art Show fundraising raffle.
- Rob Edwards, past president and long‑serving member, recognised for his ongoing dedication to our club and his decades of service to the community.
Making Membership More Accessible
President Olive Aumann accepted the role for a second term and proudly launched the club’s two new membership pathways — Companion Club Membership and Community Partner Membership, designed to make Rotary more accessible, flexible and connected to the way people contribute to community life today.
We were thrilled to induct seven new members on the night, with four more to be inducted in the coming weeks. Even more encouraging, two additional community members approached us during the event expressing interest in joining, a wonderful sign of the momentum building around our club.
Our Changeover was strengthened by the presence of many of our valued community partners, including representatives from:
- Warrandyte Community Bank, whose extraordinary $400,000 per year in local sponsorship makes so much possible for our community groups

Their presence reflects the strong partnerships and shared purpose that continue to grow across our community. With new members joining, new partnerships forming, new initiatives emerging, and a renewed sense of energy in the room, the year ahead promises to be an exciting one for Warrandyte Donvale Rotary. We look forward to continuing our work alongside the many organisations and volunteers who make our community such a special place.
